I get it that watching QVC can be annoying. That's why I stopped. But this would not have annoyed me. It was just a way to segue into the subject.

This is just another "gotcha" and to me, it's just someone looking for a reason to watch good ol' Andy.  Nothing wrong with that, but certainly doesn't in my mind reflect an understanding of the prep most likely done before the vendor and host are on the air.

If I were betting, I'd lay money that MBR not only knew the answer, but she also knew the vendor and she wanted to talk toile -  and she knew that before the segment started.

Several years ago, Country Living used to present quilts on QVC.  I purchased a quilt called Nancy's Toile from one of their shows.   MBR worked with that vendor many times so  I agree, I'm pretty sure she knew the answer but was engaging the guest to speak of it.

You can't win on here. Everything is picked apart.
I wish I had that kind of time to worry so much about such trivial stuff!

To be honest, Mary Beth would be the last host I
would criticize for anything. Her, Jill, Carolyn, Pat, Jayne, Katie, Rachael, Sandra, Jennifer, and others I can't think of at the moment are excellent.
They're grounded, calm, informative, well spoken, and don't dwell on personal life or absolute silly behavior.
Some of the new ones are looking promising also.

All right, I'm down with this assessment of Mary Beth and maybe (maybe) a few of the others but with some of those noted, I really have to wonder if we're seeing the same hosts... especially that 'calm' thing...

I think I don't watch enough to see calm all the time! But I like all of those
hosts mostly!!

@HULAGIRL  Mary Beth is very humble and it's one of her many qualities. Of course, she knew the answer, but she didn't want to appear to be a know it all, so she let the vendor be the hero.
