The QVC Jim Shore offerings are down to 10 selections.  Are they downsizing him?  I noted Valerie Parr Hill has more things to show.

I have not heard anything about his line and I have no idea how well it had been selling.

@lil sophie.  They say people aren't buying collectibles.  He lasted longer than most of them.

  Not surprising, many younger people  are not buying  collectibles  and many  retired  people are downsizing .

I've seen his stuff sold elsewhere  at Brick Mortar store and in  catalogs

I haven't heard anything but I wouldn't be surprised if Q was doing that. I like his items and have bought some especially at Christmas time.  However I'm also "downsizing" the amount of stuff I have around that either needs to be stored or dusted. LOL

Prices have gotten to high for me. I have many JS pieces, I especially like his Halloween pieces and have more witches than I care to admit to. But have not purchased anything in a couple years. It is tough looking at a new witch and not have her come home to me.

Re: Jim Shore downsized

[ Edited ]

I have only one holiday angel set from years ago of his, 7 of them, Harvest, Christmas, Vday, StPats, Easter, Mothers Day and July4th. I still put them out depending on the holiday, just tucked somewhere as a little holiday accent. But I never collected his things. I often admired his Easter baskets and a few other things...but like others here, I never really wanted to "collect" anything. These angels are enough for me.

I once thought I'd sell them on Ebay, during one of my "declutters" but then decided I still wanted them and they aren't much to store. At that time, maybe 2 years ago...I was surprised to see his items selling for quite high on the after market.

I follow him on FB and he does Lives there now and then, often from trade shows. I see his items in local b&m shops too. It's probably not anyone 50 and under's style, even if they like decorative items around.

His items are made in foreign countries, not hand made by him, never understood the appeal.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

@raspberrygal

I have this one and it's cute as can be! But smaller than a lot of his things.
