This is my day for not knowing where these rooms came from!  But like this designer too.  This one appealed to me for different reasons than the probable- Celerie Kemble one.   This one, to me says "vitality".   Hers says, "civilization".    Both essential.

Love the painted beams, the pair of stacked lamps, the dreamy blue lamp, soft rug, bold combinations of comfortable furniture.  The folded salmon-y throw is the crowning touch, picking up a few rusty tones in room.

Re: A MORE RUSTIC LIVING ROOM

A very cozy room with comfortable-looking furniture, quite livable.  I'm dying to snatch that painting from above the fireplace and replace it with something more colorful and interesting.

The ceiling alone is a no for me. All I envision are cobwebs, cobwebs, and more cobwebs. I hate ceilings like this.

To me, ceilings like these seem to lose so much beauty when painted like this where the character if the wood is lost.

I would love to see the chest on left back wall.

I'm not feeling this lr either. To be completely honest, it looks like the furniture and accessories were thrifted and just looks thrown together. I agree with ECBG in that the ceiling (at least the beams) should have never been painted.

Not a single element in this room I'd covet, but the room comes together in its own way. I don't really care for it, but it's not unattractive, given the style employed. Other than perhaps the rug (and that small ottoman), this room does not, however, read as 'rustic' to me. @Kachina624, I agree with you on that, to me, somewhat awful fireplace art.

@Oznell

Always appreciate you sending pictures. Enjoy looking at them.

The lamps on the right, however, don't appeal to me. They immediately reminded me of CFL light bulbs!

Re: A MORE RUSTIC LIVING ROOM

I like this space but the decor is not for me.

I too would not have painted the beams, the art is not attractive to me, and the lamps and coffee table would have to be replaced.
