@ID2 I stand corrected!!  Perhaps she does cook; it seems she doesn't EAT!

This doesn't look like a kitchen for this doll; she is too classic.

@ECBG Actually I think she's kind of channeling Julia.

Agree.  Popular 50's style.

Although, there were turquoise or pink kitchens, yellow was more common.

@ECBG  This picture reminds me of a vintage board game box featuring a father and son playing the board game, and the mother and daughter doing the dishes in the background.  Thank God we've come a long way since then!!

Totally agree about the colors.  Although I think I remember a pink tile blacksplash or two in the 60s.  Usually combined with the "boomerang" formica countertop.

I never liked those styles.  As time went forward and I was able to experience kitchen islands and wood cabinets that were stained, along with other changes in furniture and decorating, (and clothing styles, especially!), it was like walking out of a design void!

ITA @ID2 ! Barbie cooked for Ken and maybe Skipper and Midge -  and me - all of the time in her kitchen in her foldout Dreamhouse when I was growing up! She made all of my favorite dishes.

Besides, I don't think Barbie would like that kitchen. MY Barbie would prefer pink and white!  Smiley Wink

No wonder Barbie makes “reservations” for dinner.  🤣
