What a strange 'regift'!
DH and I were married on V-Day in 2000!

I was gifted one of the green trees back in the early 90s when I was in college and still use it. However this year, I used my Grandparents tree, which is exactly the same as mine, because it's more sentimental - this is the 9th Christmas without my grandfather and the 3rd without my grandmother. I just put their tree out last night in the dining room on my serving cart. It looks real nice there.

Hi BornToShop, Great Minds and all...
I can't wait to get it too!!!!!!!!!!
DH and I are going to go vote together after he gets home from work

I saw it presented this morning but I was thinking that the darker colored lights did not show their color very much. Maybe it is because they are LED? I think I would prefer a plug in version if it was brighter.

I'm sure the white tree will be bright enough...the green tree no doubt won't be as bright as a plug in. Also I LOVE this B/O version since I can put it anywhere and I'm not as limited for placement...like being able to put it on our coffee table.
I also think it will look great with LR's white trees (H205068) around it

My grandmother had one of these when I was very young and I loved it so much my mother bought one. I also have very fond memories of these trees and may have to get one of my own. I've never seen a white one before. Thank you for sharing - I hope you love it!

No doubt a strange gift to give someone in Feb. Oh well. It was from someone at DH's workplace. For a while my Mom had stopped putting up a tree so I gave it to her to use but when my parents passed it came home to me again. I guess I am just supposed to have it in my life.
Were there a lot of weddings when you got married? There were 4 at the church the day we got married - it was great because we shared the cost of flowers to decorate the church which was a nice savings. Ours was first in the morning - then two during the day and one that evening. Before we were even out of the church from ours the people for the next wedding were there already to do some decorating. i had met the other brides and their families when we had to go to a meeting to chose the flowers and decorations for the church. We had white roses to decorate the church so I got white roses for my bouquet too.

That's funny and cool at the same time!
When we got married, it was in my parent's church in FL (they moved there when they retired...now both deceased). At the time, my dad was recovering from cancer and having to have treatments, so it was the place to get married. Besides, DH and I had a long distance relationship...he was in NE and I was in CT. We only had 10 people at our wedding..and that included the best man & maid of honor...simple, tiny wedding. I used the colors of burgandy and gold, our reception was at an island restaurant off the coast of FL near Charlotte/Sarasota county, and the cake I chose could have fed 400 people, but I didn't care. I wanted one with a fountain under the cake...LOL
