Have Q on in the background and there is a Berkshire set on with sherpa on one side of the blanket.
I have never seen a sherpa that wore well. It clumps, gets lint and hair stuck in it, isn't soft after washing and drying, in general, I'm no fan of sherpa.
Have I only seen cheap sherpa or what is up with it?

I am 100% in agreement. My husband has this blanket that has one side feels like the velvet throws by Berkshire, and the other is that faux sherpa. He has had this for probably 6 yrs and I Hate, hate, hate that sherpa side. I feels like it "snags" your skin, it is rough to the touch, but the velvet cut side is still beautiful. We never used dryer sheets or softner, it is just the way thi stuff wears I presume.

It looks really bad after washing it, even with a lot of care... ![]()

I’m not tempted in the slightest to own anything - comforter, blanket, jacket, whatever - that contains any sherpa. I hate it. There’s no good/expensive sherpa and bad/cheap sherpa - it’s ALL lousy and cheap looking/feeling AFAIC. It clumps, washes horribly, falls apart and is never soft, cozy, etc to me, but cheap and irritating. To me it looks/feels like the fakest of fake cheapest fabric. It’s nothing like wool or fleece.

I agree! After a while, it has so much cat hair woven into the Sherpa, and there's no way to get it out! I love the plain velvet blankets though!

To me, animal hair on anything is gross. I wouldn't want it on any blankets used inside my house. We keep one blanket that's used solely in our vehicle when a pet has to be transported.

Reminds me of fleece gone pilly.
Once a Hanes type sweatshirt starts to get pilly inside from wash and wear, I either have to get rid of it or wear it inside out because I can't stand the way it feels on my skin.

My Berkshire throw (faux sherpa) is clumpy...kind of like little drips of glue were accidentally washed with it...........I know that probably sounds crazy but I know what I mean LOL.
I have a small real sherpa throw that my son brought back from Iceland and it is very delicate...dry clean only. I use it as a decor piece on the back of a chair.

I guess I am "odd man out" here. I have several baby blankets with faux sherpa for my bulldog, plus several jackets with sherpa linings and have never had issues. I find it cuddly and warm.
I have ordered two of the upcoming tsv blankets , although I haven't yet tried this brand. Hope I haven't made a big mistake !![]()
