I buy the ones from Costco which are much more reasonable. Don't know if they still sell them but I think so.

I also bought mine at Costco years ago. GREAT price. They DON'T break. Costco still sells them in the store. A friend of mine bought them a few weeks ago.

I use huggable hangers on tops that tend to slip off the hanger and end up on the floor.  I use el cheapo plastic for the tops that I want to slip off.  And heavy coats warrant some old wood hangers.  No, my closets don't look matchy-matchy and organized, but who sees them but DH and me?

In just the past month I have had four of the hangers snap in half on me.  I must admit, they were all when trying to either hang or remove the same winter coat.  They are fine for windbreakers, cotton shirts or chinos.  I never read any instructions or advisory about using them with winter weight coats. I guess I'll just pick up a couple of wooden hangers for the coats and keep the Joy hangers for the lightweight stuff.

@781Florist    If I had a very heavy winter coat, which I don't own or need, I'd put two hangers side by side and put the coat on them.

I've bought all the different types of the flocked handers including those from Costco, TJMaxx, etc. and have had mixed results.  All in all, the huggable hangers have been the best for me.   I use two hangers for heavier items such as winter coats and some leather coats/jackets.  Haven't had any break that way.  I also find the Marla Wynne fabrics work well with the flocked hangers.  It seems so many things have changed over time and quality seems down in a lot of items, so I'm not sure if I am going to order the TS.

@Kachina624  Thanks!  That's a good idea and I will try it. Such a simple, common sense solution and yet it never occurred to me.   Just another V-8 moment for me!!
