I know I should of known better but something got the best of me. I had some electrical work done at my place of business and got a quote on what it would cost me for the fixtures but never got a commitment out of the owner as to how much the cost of labor would cost. As Gomer Pyle used to say "surprise, surprise" got the invoice and the labor was 3 times the cost of the fixtures.

Get it in writing before any work is done no matter who it is.

...and I'm beating myself up over it, I did manage to get about $200 knocked off the invoice but still, it's my own fault and no one else's and I always preach about getting everything in writing.

Did they do a good job? Is this something that can be amortized over a large chunk of years? Getting the labor estimate might have given you pause...and to choose another vendor with horrible results. No one wants to be ""taken advanced of""...but you just have to spin it in your favor....and that's your story....the one you're stickin' to!!! Life Theory of half empty or half full. Smiley Happy.
