How many sofa pillows do you like?

I'm seeing lots of pictures of sofas with so many pillows there's no place to sit! I like 2 - 4 pillows on my sofas. Usually I have a mix of solid color pillows and coordinating prints. 

Here are a few pictures of pillows on sofas. None of these are my home. What do you think? Feel free to add pictures from your home or those you like. 

My favorite. Not too many pillows. Love the dog! 

Although I like the pillows themselves 6 is too many for me. I'd remove 3 or 4 of them. 

I don't like the printed pillows here. I'd keep the pink one, get rid of the rest, and add one or two more I like better. 

Too much print mixing for me. I prefer prints mixed with solids. I like the 2 orange print pillows best. I don't care for the others. 

None of these pillows appeal to me.

We have two pillows on our couches, one on each end.  We have three decorator pillows on our bed.  I like a few pillows, but not over the top.

I also hate a lot of pillows on the bed.  What's the purpose and where do they all go when you sleep?  On the floor?

I love the teal color pillows with the neutral sofa, but again, too many. There's very little room to sit.

Maybe people put them on their guest bed when they sleep? Or up on a closet shelf? My DH hates extra decorative pillows on sofas or beds so we only have a few here and there in our home.

I'm a "lot of pillows" person - both on chairs and couch and on the bed.  I also like a lot of throws and afghans scattered around on chairs and couch.  Basically, I just like a lot of stuff around!   

Double bed - four pillows.

I'm in need of more livng room pillows - I had to dispose of a few that got lumpy.  I used to buy them at Pier 1 - brightly colored.  Next time I'm over near BB& Beyond - I'll get some new ones.

@wilma    Of course, I have to pick the first one because it has my favorite breed lying on it.....even the same color as mine was!  Only mine had golden brown eyes.  I like 3 pillows on one end with a sofa throw on the other end.  Right now I have 4 as I was sent one by accident.  Don't know that I will keep the 4th.

I have 5 pillows on each of my sofas, and 8 on my bed! For the sofas, the pillows are mostly just decorative, and we toss them to the side when we sit down. I just like the look and it takes only a few seconds to arrange the pillows when we're not sitting there. As for the ones on my bed, 3 are decorative, and go onto a chair when we go to bed. We use the other 5 (I like 2 and my DH likes 3). I guess we're pillow people!

Being overweight, I love it when people have pillows on their couches.  I always pull one and put it in my lap to try and hide my bodaciousness.  It makes me feel more comfortable.  Some people like to put them behind them also in the small of their back.
