First, the real estate people normally keep the buyer from the seller but all the paperwork that is being sent to me and copied to the buyer has my home address allover it...I don't want to be bothered/contacted after I sold the house, it's bad enough letting go of the house I grew up in but now all this information out there?
How can I say something like that at the closing? I don't want to be called all the time or asked what's this, what's that?

I've sold two homes that I didn't live in, and never worried about my address being on the paperwork. I'm sure it's there for legal reasons.
No one ever contacted me, from either sale. Why do you thnk this is going to happen?

Relax, why so paranoid? I've sold several houses in my lifetime, the last one being a year ago. I've never, ever heard from any of the buyers. Be grateful that your house is sold, go celebrate! ![]()

Once you close on the house that won't be your address anymore. Anyway, who are you afraid of getting your address?

We are in our original house we bought after we were married a few years. We tried to sell it once thinking we could move a bit closer to my job. We ended up in the background listening to one or two prospective buyers. Wow, what an eye opener. Such strange concerns and comments. But I was told by our real estate agent that when it was over, it was over. We were free and clear as long as the deal was honest and settled legally we would not have to be into the transaction after the fact. Needless to say WE CHANGED OUR MINDS and are still here. One of the best decisions we ever made was to simply stay.
So no worries.

When you sell your house you are entering into a contract with another person/entity at this time you need to have both listed. As others have said once the property has closed it is no longer your house or address. Believe me, in this day no matter what the reason if someone wanted to find another person they could rather easily.

No one's address is confidential these days. If someone knows our names, all it takes is a little internet searching to track us down.
If you know your buyer's new address, why shouldn't they know yours?
Who knows how useful this can be........(it has happened to me several times), important pieces of mail still get sent to your old address. Wouldn't it sometimes be beneficial to know about this from the people living in your former home now?

You're right, just celebrate the house is sold.
(I don't physically live there, so house address is not mine)
