Seems that whenever we sell a house we aren't in the position to call the shots. So we'll do whatever we have to to get it sold.

I didn't know there were apps for this type of thing.
Good to know.

Well, I guess we won't put our home up for sale because there is no way I would put up with that one to two hour notice business...............insane.

@Abrowneyegirl Is your house online for virtual tour? I plan to do this so anyone can view, but only those who are serious would make an appointment. My RA would have the headaches, because I would set limits on the time someone could come to the house.

We sold our home 3 years ago. Our real estate agent always gave us plenty of time before showings. But one time I had a half hour to vacate. Yup, that's the buyer that bought our house! Don't sweat the small stuff.

Sold my home last June. I had everything showing ready daily after 10:00am, especially the first 2 weeks.
Any request to show the home on less than a one hour notice was unacceptable. I turned away a couple and their RE agent when they showed up over 1 1/2 hours late to a scheduled showing. My biggest problem was agents texting me a showing date & time and then just not showing up. That happened multiple times. Especially inconvenient because I had to leave the house with my dog. Worse if I had kids at home!
ITA with the poster who said this will soon pass- if you are lucky! Showings were definitely not the most stressfull part of selling. I was very fortunate. This time my house sold super fast and for top dollar to great people from my town.
Two family members are still on the market after 9 months and 6 months respectively. They now have carrying costs for two houses!
Remember, If you want to sell and move on you are not in control. It's all about the buyer, which in many cases is very unpleasant. I know well from past experiences.
I hope you interviewed several listing agents and hired the best. I did and that made all the difference in being out of my house in less than 10 weeks.

Interesting side note. I had to step away because we had two requests to see the house 2 hours ago. Since we are going to be out anyway, we did a quick cleaning grab the dogs and left. I have to say they were there at exactly 3:30 on the DOT

Hope they make a good offer so you don't have to deal with his much longer.

@Abrowneyegirl wrote:Being specific has NOT helped at all. After a detailed conversation between the 2 RA regarding a particular buyer they continued 3 more times to schedule appts with less than 60 min notice. They did finally get to see the home because the last request was made for the same date/time as another showing so they piggy-backed the appts. (after all of that no offer the wife hates brick- our house is brick)
The app itself is not the listing of the home, just a scheduling tool.
Talking with RA we were told 30 something year olds do no make appts or plan but 40 something year olds plan better. Combine that with there are a lot of bad RA out there trying to make a quick buck it is a hard situation.
Just a sign of the times....
I guess realtors are like any other job... some are good and some are not... And apparently, like car dealers or shoe salesmen, you can tell them exactly what you want and don't want and they'll show you anything they have regardless... If the buyer did not want a brick house it took some real nerve to keep pestering for a show time on a house that he or she knew the buyer would not be interested in... Waste of everyone's time, including their own...
