Home Worx Plug in spelling error

Was anyone else surprised that Slatkins Key Lime Macaroon scent was spelled in error on the bottle? Watching Kerstin tonight Item H 227729 was spelled "Macron" on the bottle. Where is quality control by this company? Sadly the product was probably not manufactured in the USA. I am only buying USA poured soy candles by a NJ company as recommended by another poster on the boards.

@Reever

it is spelled macaron on the bottles......which is the french spelling.

it is not spelled wrong and we do use that spelling here also.

@sunshine45  You are absolutely correct.

Macarons are those delicate little sandwich cookies which are available in countless flavors and colors.

Macaroons are those little mounds of coconut which are held together by egg whites and sugar.

What would you do if you found a misspelled word on the NJ company label????

Re: Home Worx Plug in spelling error

The bottles themselves have the correct spelling of "Macaron."

It's the description of the item's fragrance that has the incorrect spelling "Macaroon."

Not a big deal but something they might want to fix. It's in the title of the product as well as the description underneath the photo.

The name Key Lime Macaroon could be taken as a coconut/lime fragrance rather than what it actually is which I presume has no coconut fragrance at all.

@CelticCrafter.  Do you suppose there is a full moon?  After reading several of today's posts I seriously wonder.

This is the first post I've read so I wouldn't know but your question made me curious so I looked it up. The next full moon is Feb 27th if I'm reading it correctly and this one is referred to as the "Snow Moon" since typically there's a lot of snow in February. Is that true? It's not something we're familiar with here in SoCal.

Unfortunately March's full moon is know as the Worm Moon. I intentionally decided not to read why that is. Happily, April's full moon is called the Pink Moon...much better!

As for the topic at hand I'm not sure why this thread was started but Reever did ask "Are you surprised" and after QVC sent me an email (due to viewing the product) I decided to watch the presentation and, yes, I actually was surprised that Harry, himself, did not seem to know the difference between a macaron and a macaroon. I guess there's a good reason he's known as "the nose" and not "the baker." Maybe he should have settled for Key Lime cookie instead. Smiley Very Happy

Regardless, I love Harry's products! Smiley Happy

Or "the brain".  Cute post.
