what?

350 dollars for a toaster?

and he bought two?

A regular cooker may cost less than 700 dollars, oh well!

My toaster costed 49 dollars (If I recall correctly) and that came from AAFES, it is a Cuisinart and I was been told then that this brand is a very good in Amercia.

@Dinaki That brand is wonderful for many items.Smiley Happy

@ECBG The guy who bought 2 toasters must be putting one in his "gift closet".  Just in case someone pops in -- you never know.

Most products come in a wide range of prices for a wide range of buyers.  I don't give a thought to what others spend their money on or their buying choices.

Re: Holy Smoke! For TOAST?????

I had a really cheap toaster than I bought in 1993 when I moved into my first house.  Just last month the plastic handle that presses the bread down into the toaster broke off.  I bought a new Kitchen Aid toaster for 49,99.  I am certain that it will toast my bread just fine and hopeful last another 27 years.

It's hard to see the sign to the left of the toaster but,Yes that is €699 which is way over $700.  The €499 is for the blender behind it.  SMEG is the brand. Pretty but expensive.

Re: Holy Smoke! For TOAST?????

I just want a simple toaster that toasts evenly so I tend to buy a low end, middle of the road, toaster.  I only have toast or bagels occasionally so I don't need the higher end models that are offered.

Re: Holy Smoke! For TOAST?????

I'd go without toast before I'd pay more than $50 for a two slice toaster.
