Haven't turned it off yet. It is still cool and damp in NYC.

I was feeling guilty for not putting away the firewood and fireplace accessories. However, I'm glad I didn't! Not only have I turned on the heat, but I am burning a fire right now. It is 20 degrees below average temps for this time of the year.
The weather guy used the term "Mayvember!" at noon today!

We haven't turned our furnace off yet either. Also still have the flannel sheets and down comforters on the beds.

We had frost and freeze warnings a couple of nights over this past weekend, so I put on the Duraflame for a few hours each night to take the chill off.
It was actually spitting snow here this weekend as well.
Ick.

Oh Ya'll are soooooo lucky.......I LOVE the cooler weather which is much better for my illness. I cant stand the heat anymore and I long for a [place that has a very short cool summer. Can always put a sweater on but can only take off so many clothes in the heat and humidity. LOVE cool weather places. Sigh

We've been chilly in the mountains of NC as well. It's been "Blackberry Winter", our second usual cold snap in the spring.

Yes, that no heat after May 15th rule my dad had when we were growing up does not apply in this house!

My heat is on right now in my upstate NY home. It's been in the 30s overnight most of this week. My grandson is visiting and, with his thin Florida blood, I don't think he'd make it without the heat.

I'm in the metro DC area and have yet to turn the heat off. In fact, given all of our cold, damp weather, I've kicked it up a notch or two sometimes. This is probably the latest that I can recall not having to turn on the A/C at least a couple of times by now. Crazy weather. Doesn't seem to be any end in sight for this weather pattern for this area.

Yes, I just said to my husband the other day that I never recall having to have the heat on in May before. Then again, we had the air on at Christmas, so I shouldn't be too surprised.
