On any all day rain or snow day my Grandma would always say it was a good day to stay in and clean the house, my Mom would say it was a great day to stay home and bake because she loved to bake , and I would say it's a perfect day to spend in my sewing room.
How do you like to spend an all day rain day?

Cook a beef stew in slow còoker, and watch The Waltons. I love rainy days with a rumble of thunder. ![]()

Baking is one of the more fun things to do for me on rainy day.
Cleaning..... not so much but will tackle a small job just to feel like I accomplished a chore. But on chilly, dreary days like we've been having here in the northeast, I find making homemade chicken soup tops the list. ![]()

I think about moving to a sunny place. I live in WA state and it rains prob 9 months out of the year. Too much!!!!

I like to stay at home and get anything 'inside' done. In the winter, in our climate, almost any day can be considered an 'inside' day, but in the spring, summer and fall, the outside work on our property is kind of never ending. The inside duties get a lick and a promise sometimes.
In the nice weather months, a rainy day can be frustrating because I have things outside that are being delayed, but I will bake (if it isn't too hot) cook ahead a couple of days worth of dinners, and catch up on some cleaning that has been let go.
In the winter, some days are just great for a blanket, the TV and lots of cat naps.

If the husband is not around and there are no pressing chores to get done around the house I'll sit and watch a marathon of my favorite horror movies.
I'm a big fan of anything horror, but my favorite are slasher movies...older ones like Halloween, Texas Chainsaw, Black Xmas, and Friday the 13th are still the best.
The husband is not a fan so if he is around we'll do a sci-fi/fantasy movie marathon like Star Wars, Alien franchise, or The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings.
Love movie marathons on a dreary rainy day!

Stay in my Stan Herman lounging gown, read, read, did I say read?!? & practicing the art of doing nothing.

If it's raining hard for a whole day........well, if you've ever had a flooded basement or sewer-back up.......you're sweating bullets the whole day. If it's just a light rain, I'll still go out and do my 5-mile jog on the weekend. It's not pleasant, but it gives me the feeling of having "beat" the weather (I'm actually a fan of heat and sun).
The other depressing thing about rain or snow is that it makes me feel guilty if I DON'T clean the condo, and it's really hard to get motivated to do that on those days!

We had *on and off* rainy weather for a week now (Jersey shore) where we a re-building a house.
Too much to do to not work out in a light rain.
Helped fill up over 30K pounds into a huge dumpster this past week/weekend. (Drywall, studs, appliances, etc.)
Digging up shrubs and bulbs, weeding. A little rain (long as there's no thunder or lightnigh) doesn't stop me from working outside in the rain, here or at home.

Depends on when it's raining. If it's cold and raining, I like to make chicken soup or chili. If it's 80+ outside and humid and yucky, I don't want to cook and would rather watch TV, read a book, or take a nap.
