With no kids or pets, I don't know how your carpets would get dirty.  Now if I had mine cleaned, THAT would be news.

UMMMM - people come in from outside and walk on them, things occasionally get spilled, dust gets ground in, mites and other invisible dirty things.You can live with whatever you please and I'll do the same , OK.
