I hate all the prep work! Anyway we are ready now and expect them any min. In Pittsburgh we had an excellant company who did the carpets every spring for me called Seibels. I have never had them done here in Florida - we have just used our Bissel but now after 6 years they need a really good cleaning.Amazing it has gone this long without a good professional cleaning as it is a very light taupe color, sorta beach sand color.I found this company I called has good recommendations on Angie's list.

We had ours done Thursday. People noticed right away. Makes me wonder how dirty they were. 😊
When we lived in Florida we were amazed how much less dirt there was because of the sand-based soil. We didn't know what mud was.

I'm going to get my carpets cleaned next month. I like to wait until it is a little warmer here in the Midwest so I can open my doors and windows to help it dry faster.

My husband turned the AC down to 70 to dry it faster so it is very cold in the house , thus, I am out on the lanai.

They did a fabulous job - and really cheap in comparison to the cost when we lived in Pa. Only $175 for LR/DR and 3 bedrooms plus steam clean the upholstered furniture in the den.

I asked for a stain resisting spray to be put on and the one they used smells like oranges. Yummmy. Makes the house smell very clean and fresh.

I plan on getting ours cleaned soon. I live in the Midwest and I would like to wait until it is a little warmer out,so that I can open my windows...

Mine needs to be done. It's only the living room because we are replacing the bedroom carpeting.
I want to wait until it's a little warmer so I can put the ceiling fan on to help it dry quicker.
It's a pain in the neck, our end tables look like old fashioned ice boxes and they will need to be emptied before they can be moved and the coffee table is a cedar chest that I will have to empty too.

I've lived in all houses with wall to wall carpeting. I thought that is the only thing I'd ever want. Until my cottage now. We opted for wall to wall hardwood floors. Oh my goodness my home is soooo much cleaner now! What a HUGE difference! I don't have allergies or sinus problems but notice now how much more I can breathe! I no longer sneeze or cough. I will never go back to carpeting!

I would prefer hardwood floors too but my DH has neuropathy and says he needs the soft carpet underfoot. However, he puts on shoes as soon as he wakes up in the morning and leaves them on unitl he goes to bed so I don't understand why he needs carpet, but whatever, I have to chose my fights.
