I don't put a lot of stuff out, so a few hours.
Our tree is old, so old that you have to stick the branches into the slots around the trunk of it.
About 8 years ago, I decided I wanted a shorter, smalller tree, so I had my husband saw about 3 foot off the trunk pole. I put the smaller branches in and now I no longer take it apart or take the lights off, I have my own version of a pre-lit tree. I hate stringing the lights. Now I just take the ornaments off and the tree goes into one of those huge contractor trash bags until next year.

I don't usually undecorate until after New Years, and even then, I have a lot of greens and pine cones, and vintage snow themed things that will go out and stay out till maybe mid March.
So I don't get back to 'normal' until well into spring, as I don't really have spring decor and very little for Easter.
While the Christmas decor is still up, I often start cleaning out closets and drawers (which I've been doing this week).
But to answer the original question, I don't pack up all that came out Thanksgiving weekend (winter themed things will stay out and other will be coming) so I'd say the packup of Christmas will take one to two days.
Goes much faster now that I store everything from a room in that room, inside decorative trunks, and storage benches and ottomans. I use very little packing materials, just lay things in, in layers with towels in between each layer, and have had zero breakage this way, so far. The holiday decor takes up a fraction of the space it used to when everything had it's boxes, tubs, and everything was wrapped in paper or bubble wrap.
A few very fragile things still go back in their own boxes, and all garlands and candle rings go in tubs and into the basement.

It takes me two days, from the day I start until the tree is down and all ornaments are packed/put away, includes any other interior decor. However I don't even think about it until the 12 days of Christmas are done. The exterior decor will wait until it warms up a little outside.

I asked DH if we could take the tree down and put everything away on Christmas day. He's not ready yet.

We took down the tree yesterday and packed away all of the inside decorations. The cleaners came today and the house is clean and 'normal'. We'll leave the outside decorations out for another week or so. It's too cold to mess with them now and if it's still this cold in a couple of weeks, they'll stay out and we won't turn them on. Not doing it in this cold.

I started taking down all my vignettes today and will leave the tree (just one this year) up till New Years. It will take me about a week to complete my new "feel' for the house.
I always enjoy this time.....it feels fresh and new. How about you?
Pretty tree.

Hey I have that same rooster lamp and same shade. I love it. Your tree is pretty too. A lot of work ahead of you, your home looked beautiful.

My Christmas things stay up through Jan.6, it takes about as long to take it down as it does to put it all up but I don't mind, I relive the holiday as I put things away.
