The last residential space he designed before his death is on the market in Phoenix for  $3.25 million, if you're interested. Cat Wink

It is the Norman Lykes home.

I hope it falls into good hands.  I love the corner balcony (the whole thing is impeccable, and of course the furnishings are small in scale, as Wright was himself).  Wow, the burnished woodwork . . .

And the site.

Re: Fans of Frank Lloyd Wright

Love, love, love the Frank Lloyd Wright aesthetic, although I'm not sure I would want to live in it full-time. I do prefer higher ceilings. But I'll pick up this house as a vacation "cottage", ha.

Doesn't his style lend itself well to the gorgeous desert setting?  There are both wide expansive areas, to embrace that fabulous view, and small, closed up intimate spaces when you want to retreat from the fierce blaze of the Southwest sun.

Beautiful Arizona retreat.

My grandfather, also an architect, knew him.  Although FLW was a genius, my grandfather said he wasn't the nicest person.

I love much of his work.

It'll do for my winter home! What an outstanding architect.

I really love almost all of those pics, a few, not at all. But, I think I could adapt to those few I don't care for, lol. I'll check it out for my retirement home, rofl.
