Re: GLIMPSE OF MILAN APARTMENT

Hoo, @tobes ,  love the way your mind is working--  physician, opera singer, race car driver, bishop!   Cool scenario...   Posters on here have shown extraordinary "visual" imaginations....

Whoa-- I knew there would be interesting replies, but these are GREAT and so much fun to read.  Love the informed speculation, the rich imagination at work, and the detail!

I lean to a woman, probably, a sophisticate who is drawn to many eras and types of design-- therefore the eclecticism of the room.  But everything she puts there is a considered choice.

I am not fond of the mirror.  A different, 'non-undulating' form of modernism would be more to my taste, ha.  But I think it was the right choice to have the juxtaposition of something modern over that exquisite classic mantel.

I love the black and white photograph, the gazelle, which suggests Art Deco, the casually stacked books, the graceful touch of nature, the punctuating color of the chairs, and of course, the general (but not random) mix of old and new.   I agree with everyone who suggested that someone of rarefied sensibility put together and/or occupies this room.

Excellent analysis, @Oznell  I agree.

It would be interesting to learn who this place belong to or who lives there.

Re: GLIMPSE OF MILAN APARTMENT

A masculine-influenced interior decorator.

Maybe a decorator who designs for 'upper' class' business CEO's.

'All in all':  Nice, expensive-looking design.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
