I like your idea @Imaoldhippie. I think the tortoise style bamboo shades would make a big difference. They could keep the  curtains, but the shades would add a touch of drama and a little darker color.

Maybe a darker coffee table on a smaller scale. Different window treatments too.

I like the look, the only change I would make is to paint the walls a darker color for contrast but not too dark.

Nice room and comfortable looking furniture, but the decorating looks incongruous.  The geometric patterns (rug, lamp shades, Greek Key design in the drapes, the green end-pillows on the couch) don't seem to work well with each other or with the organic patterns (the three middle pillows, the nature scenes in the blue Delft plates).  The wall paint looks like baby blue color, maybe if it were a neutral like a warm-white, and the drapes had color, the overall look would be more cohesive.

I like everything as is but I really dislike plates/platters displayed on walls or  anywhere for that matter. 

I think it's a pretty and airy room.

I love this room! The platters look like some of mine; things I might change is using a rug with some stronger colors and use Chinoserie lamps instead of the solid ones. I might display the platters on a smaller wall space and use a large piece of art or a collection of art between the windows. Also, the arrangement seems dated to me. Too much symmetry: two tables, two lamps, two chairs, etc.

I like the paleness of the room.  I would replace those bright blue lamps with something paler....I know, funny, but true. 

How about pick up the moss green in the pillows for example?

Very pretty, but it needs brightly colored sofa and chairs, not necessarily matching. Yeah, that would be perfect.

Too many pillows, bedroom type lampshades., and hanging plates the main event.
