"Perpetrating fraud, ah, you're on to me. My bad". Then hang up.
Or start asking if you can get in on their scam. How much can you make? What are the hours? Where do you work out of?
OMG .... that's hysterical! LOL
Yes, but once you talk, they know they have an active phone line and will keep calling, add your number to a list for other scammers to call etc.

I really wish these people would put their time to good use, but perhaps this is the only job they can get.
@Tinkrbl44 saying yes is a huge No-No! I wish I could avoid all unknown calls, I do on my cell but my office phone is my business line and though unlisted I think these robo-calls are computer programs that dial until they get an answer.
@jackthebear That could be why I've started getting these calls . . .

Have any of you ever watched Kitboga on Youtube? He video records phone calls with scammers and really messes with them and basically wastes their time. He has different personas he will use. The videos can be pretty lengthy and even confusing as to what all he is doing but you get the idea of what he is accomplishing and a lot of times gets an expletive earful from the scammers once they realize what he is doing. Once in a while, one of them will even ask, "is this Kitboga?".

It doesn't seem to matter if people are on the Do Not Call Registry. They keep calling anyway.

Be very afraid! The FCC will notify the FBI who will ask the sheriff to drop by 😂😂😂😂😂

The DNC Registry works only for phone calls on phone lines in the U.S.
Most scammers use the internet to make calls and can call from anywhere in the world.
@Tinkrbl44 That explains a lot, doesn't it.

I know right away that they are scammers 'cause they have an accent. They all sound the same. They say they are calling me from my bank and that $$$ has been bought with my CC. I toy with them for awhile and then I say something nasty and hang up. So glad I wasted their time, lol. We rarely answer our landline. Many numbers I've blocked, but they just call from another number and it's the same ol' drag. I guess they have Sundays off. We have one peaceful day during the week.
