Re: For those that have the Spring Green VPH spheres

I have this issue with the red color. I don't think it's a quality issue, but rather how the lights wash out some colors as the spheres get larger in size.

For example, my smallest red sphere is a deep, true red. The middle one is reddish/orange, & the largest one is orangish/red. Unlit, the colors look identical. I don't notice it as much with my Amber spheres.

I suppose all colors are different but I actually like the largest sphere the best, lit and unlit. I might gift the other two or at least one of them.

Darn, Mallemo, that's too bad. I think it would bother me, too. Bad luck that you got a set that didn't match. Is it the color, or the finish?

I think it's a little of both Rosehill. They look better unlit as far as matching goes but the largest sphere is the best color. They "twinkle" way different than my pink spheres also.

That's weird that they twinkle different than the pink ones. Just weird. I wonder if she changed some things about how the new ones are made.

I don't know since the pink set were my first ones. The pink set has a distinctive 3 phase pattern and to me it's not really a twinkle, it's more of a phasing. The green set is more random and I would say they have more of a twinkle.

Hello Mallemo...

No, you are definitely not the only OCD person here. I am the exact same way. I bought several sets of the blue at Christmas time and some of the sets did not match. So back they went until I got sets that all matched. I think this can be an issue with more than just the green. So , Mallemo...you are not alone as this has bugged me in the past and will always bug me. My 3 spheres have to match. As a lot of the time I display the 3 together. So I am with you on the OCD issue. I don't blame you, it bugs me too {#emotions_dlg.sneaky}.I really hope you can get a matching set. I'm so glad I'm not the only one that this bothers.

Good to hear I'm not the only one! I am going to order another set and hope for the best.

Many of my sets don't seem to "match." Since I don't display them side by side, it doesn't matter to me. With them scattered all over a room or around my house, it would take a keen eye to see that there are differences in the colors/intensities of colors. Hope you get a set that works for you.

Nana5...I have ordered another set of green and will hope for the best. Not only do they not match but the two smaller spheres just don't look right. The small when lit is just basically white light shining through what looks like black. The medium you can see in to because of more clear glass than speckled.

Re: For those that have the Spring Green VPH spheres

I think you will be happier, Mallemo with a new set. Hope it's a good one. I just looked at the spring green set I have and they aren't lit, but they look to be the same color tone and the finish on them looks the same. I think that is the way they are supposed to be. Now, if I were buying in the Q outlet, and paying $13 and change, I would be less picky. So it's all relative to what you pay, I guess.
