Do you use floral prints, patterns, & accessories in your home decorating?
I tend to use them mostly as accent pieces. My DH does not want a house with lots of florals so I do my best to sneak in pieces I love here and there.
Here are a few of the florals in our house.
In our foyer
In the sunroom
In our third bedroom which we use as a reading room
In the hallway

Lovely touches you've introduced into your home, @wilma ! I have not many. I have two huge, oversized black and white photographs over the love seat, not unlike your photographs in mood. One is of two roses in closeup, and one of three daisies in close up. LIke yours, they are dramatic rather than fru-fru.
Let's see, I have a few pillows with stylized leaf motifs (if you consider that "floral".) And an old ceramic crouching rabbit box with an ivy motif... Oh, and a blue and white toile table runner with birds and flowers....
I love each of your floral elements.

@wilma Your home looks lovely.
I love floral decor, but in recent years my Waverly dining room wallpaper was replaced by a grey beige paint and my bathroom floral wallpaper was changed to toile.
However, my mother left me all of her beautiful needlepoint and one fine day, when Michaels craft store has a frame sale, I want to place all of her floral themed needlework in a grouping on a bedroom wall.

Beautifully done, the pictures are especially striking. I use fresh flowers as much as possible, used to pick them up all the time when I was running to the grocery store all the time. Not so much anymore. Thanks for sharing

Very nice, all @wilma .
The accents in our home are subtle, printed drapes & colored pillows here and there, printed colorful quilts with pillows in the 3 bdrms. I do change out a few prs of drapes with the seasons, I enjoy this and for me it takes little time.
I love that you folks obviously enjoy plants in your artwork, I love all of them.

Framing your mom’s needlepoint sounds like a beautiful idea.

I love fresh flowers too, but unfortunately, most of them trigger my asthma. If I could I would have a vase of fresh flowers on my dining table all the time.

I have a lovely Irish porcelain lamp with floral decoration. It was a beautiful TSV on QVC years ago. When you come upstairs in my home, it's the first thing you see across the hallway, It's probably my favorite QVC purchase.

@wilma Your home looks lovely and you have beautiful florals. Since I lived in Sint Maarten for so many years, my home decor, as far as art work, is infused with local island and beach art. I enjoy looking at it and know where each place is located and the names of the local flowers. I also collect art as souvenirs when I travel, so I also have a good remembrance of those special places.
