Too busy. For me it's the red gingham and striped rug that clash with the florals.

 

A cream or light yellow plain upholstery and a neutral monotone rug would help. The drapes are kind of busy, too, though. I like some florals but off set by neutral or light colored basics.

The back of the chairs make the whole look gaudy.  The valance on the window is also a bit much.

my first reaction was it's a little too cutesy, but I really do like it.

It might actually not be so, if you saw it in the context of the whole room.
