I don't like the arrangement at all, but the shelves might work in a family room for collectibles.  I would never use these in a living room. 

There is an Amish builder in our area who makes floating shelves that look like inverted crown molding which is nice for a living room.

The shelf is okay, but I dont like the choice of the items on the shelf ...they are too tiny and too many so it looks rather cluttered.....  I would have added a small floral arrangement, maybe some books...a couple of larger decor accents.... maybe a Luminara candle....

I really don't care for floating shelves, it just makes things look messy to me. And imagine all the dusting!

It's a no for me I do not like clutter, or shelves.

This person is obsessed with pink.  Look at the window frames.  The chairs are really ugly and from what I can see of the sofa it is too.  I am not impressed with the shelves and what is on them.

I'm not big on floating shelves, unless they are in a kitchen and even then I only like them in very small amounts.....
