When changing the exterior color on a home you have to consider the color of your roof,the gutters,garage doors- esp. if they are in the front, the trim(which can be painted of course) and the windows. When we changed the color of our house from brown to sand - our deck was stained clove brown and I always wished we could change it's color because it was so dark against the light house, just did not match up well.When we got new windows and went from dark brown to sand color then we could lighten our siding, but at the same time we got a new roof, new gutters,new garage doors and had all the trim painted. So it's much more than just getting new siding or painting.
