I seriously doubt it would work in any home, but its lines are too traditional for a very contemporary house.  Its a hodge podge.

That was my first thought, too, but the more I looked at it, the less offensive I found it.  I actually think it would work in the home because the sofa is white (or ivory) and all of the colors in the bench wouldn't clash with it.

I came upon these pictures quite by accident so I don't know this person.  This was a question she was asking others to weigh in on to see if they thought it matched her decor.

I thought it could be worked in somehow but haven't figured it out yet! like someone else said....it is whimsical.

Where I come from a bench & a couch/sofa are 2 different types of furniture.  I consider this a bench.......
