Here's a brief weekend fantasy!   A house in Montana, in a setting that I could stare and stare at.

I do like that gorgeous stone hearth wall, and the views for days.  One thing --  I'd have a very low, solid upholstered bench up against those windows, or something.  While the windows let in stunning vistas, for some reason, don't like it when they go all the way to the floor, this high up.  Feel like I'd fall out!

The dining part of the great room has the same awe-inspiring views...

Love the dark stone used near the ceiling, over the cabinets, dreamy.   Despite the clean lines, to me the kitchen has warmth, with its combo of leather, iron and wood.

Oh, lovely dark stone again with wood, in a bath, rich looking.  While I like that interesting pendant light, I wonder how easy it would be to bump into?  Am sure I'd manage it!

Even in a spacious, light-filled house, it's nice when there are more intimate spaces too, like this cute guest room.

They have a basement games room, which is fun.  But would it have hurt them to put a mountain landscape oil painting, or an enlivening abstract or two on the walls?

It certainly is a well-equipped games room.  Reminds me, faintly, of a version of the handsome, knotty pine basement "rec rooms" that became all the rage in the Fifties.

The master bedroom is where I'd like to wake up every morning.   It's cozy, yet has the luxury of that priceless, wondrous view of all creation outside!   They mentioned that the freeform headboard is of black walnut--  yummy.

Even though this mountain house is appropriately rugged, rather 'masculine' in feeling, less eclectic, and therefore not my normal style, it's still a beguiling eyeful to me.

Can just imagine lolling in front of the living room windows, a roaring fire in the hearth behind me, with a lilting snow fall coming down....

I love the floor to ceiling windows. @Oznell  I wouldn’t put anything there to obscure the view. I love this house. I could move in and be very happy. The only room I don’t care for is the wood panel. It’s too dark and heavy for me. I would also have a more modern window covering. They have such nice ones you can pull halfway down or adjust to your liking.

I have been to Montana, and I have enjoyed a similar view both times. It is a beautiful state. Some of the travel can be treacherous, and frightening. A lot of the roads winding around the mountains don’t have solid guard rails. I can’t imagine winter driving.

I like living in a populated area, so I would love to move the house into my neighborhood. I’m not much for solitude. Vacation, yes forever home no.

I've always thought Montana seemed like such a beautiful state and always wanted to visit.

I liked your comments @Oznell, and agreed with all of them. The view is spectacular but in the bedroom I'd like not windows to the floor too for same reasons.

It just needs a lovely river to go with those mountains!

Just found myself humming a John Denver song (Wild Montana Skies) as I browsed the photos. Love the views out those big windows.

@CANDLEQUEEN, you are so right! Put me in front of a fireplace with some good books and food and I may never leave.

I like the home a lot.  The stools at the kitchen island have got to be so uncomfortable.  They would have to go if this were mine home sweet home.

That vista is majestic!  I would move in and be happy and at peace.  Like you, I would add some wall decoration in the rec room and the angular bar stools could be replaced, these are minor considerations when contemplating that view!

@Oznell   Beautiful!  Although not my style, I could certainly spend a week or two on vacation there.  As others have mentioned, give me some books, food, and my internet and I'm set.
