Two desks, one that my dad refinished for me that was HIS childhood desk from the 40's (six small drawers only), it's in my bedroom, stores cards, and paper-crafting items, jewelry box on top with a lamp, and a work desk with computer in the spare bedroom for days I work at home (one day a week) and for paperwork/finances/taxes. All the desk supplies are on this desk. Gorgeous wood, with storage above also, although sometimes I wish I just had a workstation across the entire wall. Both filled to the max. Both are usually pretty neat.

We have two oversize oak roll-top desks. The one in my office I bought 30+ years ago as a computer desk. Over the years, DH modified many parts of it. It's very well made of solid oak. Fortunately, when they designed it, the did it with a number of removeable panels. The area that originally held a 13" CRT in 1982 with vertical storage panels on each side, now holds all my computer toys behind my 24" Dell All-In-One.
Three full depth drawers that originally held 5¼" disks were modified with wood blocks to hold 3½" ones. Now the blocks have been removed and the drawers hold CDs and DVDs.
Pull-out printer drawer was made for a dot matrix printer with a slot to the bottom of drawer for paper storage. Now, the shelf holds one of my laser printers/fax, with plenty of raised edge drawer space below for reams of colored paper. Pull-out keyboard storage in the center. Did have to make some modifications on that when I went to the 24" PC.
I do love all the compartments and drawers. Even with the computer toys, desk still has a full size file drawer and two full depth wide drawerson one side. Each side has a wood slide out that rests on top of the top drawer. Lots of cubbyholes and other drawers and the like. I've really grown to love the desk. Thought I would have to something else when I went to the large PC, but we worked it out. I do have two desk height oak file cabinets on either side of the desk itself. Color laser on one; color ink jet on the other. One file is strictly for my Tupperware business, the other for my medical business. Two oak bookcases - one tall, one lowboy.
DH's is just a standard roll-top in what was his office. Also, has a computer desk in that room with two PCs, two printers. Two bookcases in this office, also.
Third desk is off the kitchen in the breakfast room, next to yet another bookcase (I collect cookbooks). I have a laptop and a Kindle there. Pretty much just for kitchen stuff. What we don't have is extra TVs. One 60" in the den. Not much for TV.
That's why you keep the cats and get rid of the kids - gives you extra room for YOUR toys. Housekeeper isn't allowed to do anything in either of these rooms. They never get dirty anyway.
Moving companies don't like us much. The roll tops have to be taken apart to get them in and out of any house. We have to stand there and tell 'em just how to do it each time (they've been moved 10 times). We hand carry all the small parts with us, never in the moving van.

Yes, we have two Pottery Barn "printer's" desk/hutch combos side by side in a study. My husband works from home occasionally so sharing anything is not an option!
If I'm just surfing, I'm very happy to use an iPad at the kitchen table but most of the time I'm working on photos too so I need the whole shebang.

We have two desks -- one in the great room upstairs that DH uses as his office/den (he telecommutes from home), and a cherry roll-top in my little sitting room off the front hall. In fact, I'm sitting at it right now typing on my laptop!

I had a guest room converted to a Home-Office. I have a large L shaped counter top in this room. This is my primary handout space.

I have a dinosaur of a computer sitting on my desk, along with my printer.
I will probably get rid of that thing eventually, but I still have things saved on it that I want, and getting rid of it isn't a priority to me.
I also have a smaller desk that resides in my parents' basement.
