Like this only my floor isn't quite this dark

Stain it the same color as your cabinets. I think the white would standout & that's where the eye would look walking in. Also the white of course shows more dirt.

We had a designer help us with our new cottage rebuild. The toe kick should most definitely be the same color as your cabinets. It'll ground those cabinets. If not it'll look as if your kitchen was floating.

The toe kick should match the cabinets. The baseboards should match the rest of the house.

Agreed, same color as cabinets. If it is light it will be easily marked as well. Match your cabinets. Nice job! LM
