Obviously it's a contemporary style house; but first change would be the FRONT.  Too many colors, materials and a lot of poor combinations which results in a miss-match of everything.  I expect the living room is no different - cold - non-inviting.

It's not contemporary.  It's mid-century modern.

It reminds me of my great aunts house in Palm Springs.  She had it decorated in burnt orange and shag carpet.  Very 60's/70's.  That's the way it stayed, too.  Into the 21 century!

Mid tone wood floors. Off white area rugs. Dark brown leather furniture. Pops of orange. No clutter.

This is mid century modern.  I like the upper windows, natural light with privacy. The paint color is a little bleak, needs a lighter shade.

My husband would have all furniture in that style. It's his favorite. Not me, I grew up with that uncomfortable wood sofas and chairs. I'd use a sleek, not quite modern leather sofa with no matchy, matchy chairs.  I'd have rugs over super huge tiled floor to with the style. I have a hard time with tables, maybe the ones I have now are 80's modern, they would go with the house style, too.

Okay.  So, I didn't find anything that fits this style of house that I like.  But if it were I, I'd decorate with this style.
