Do you think that much about decorating hallways?

I admit I don’t give it much thought. I don’t really see how you can do much if your hallways are narrow like mine. I have a few prints hung in the hallway that leads to the bedrooms. There’s a decorative mirror on the wall at the end of the hallway. That’s it.

I tried putting a narrow table with a lamp and a few accessories, but DH kept running into it, knocking things off. Finally, removed it.

Here are some hallway pictures I found online. Do you like any of them?

I like this warm traditional look.

I like this one too. Clean, simple, airy, & bright.

Not for me - Way too many pictures on walls

This is a really long hallway. Floor is very nice. Not sure I like the light fixtures.

Different. Definitely softens the look, but I don’t want to clean those drapes.

My husband won't let me put any furniture in the hallway. He complains about running into it as well. I just have a few family photos on the wall and nothing else.

My hallways are decorated, but they are wide.  I think all hallways need artwork, but I don't think I'd have furniture in the hallways if they weren't wide.

I love the floor on the last picture.  Yes, you need to find narrow side tables.  I have one in iron that I purchased at Room & Board.  It's contemporary design.

I don't really have a hallway in my townhouse.

I have a couple of framed pictures in the very small alcove that leads to my powder room and master bedroom.

Where the stairs turn to the loft and guest suite area I have one framed family photo taken maybe around 2003(?)

When I lived in houses I usually just had one or two things hanging on a hallway wall, depending upon the length of the hallway. I am "less is more" in that respect.

I found very narrow tables online for my landings as they are very small and traditional tables are too deep.

They're from a store called Room & Board.

They ain't cheap, but they are perfect and will work nicely when I move to the beach for my retirement condo down the road.  LOL
