The owner of the consignment store I go to did a Facebook live video this evening. She showed 5 of the 6 purses I brought in. 4 of them sold.

Small things..
A Laura Geller retractible makeup brush bit the dust...the retractible part came unattached, so became non-functional. Had a backup, yay, b'cuz its a favorite I use everyday. In the process I found an older LG retractible one, with a coarser type brush that felt scratchy to use, tossed that too.
I have so many "backup" makeup brushes that have accumulated over the years of Q purchases that came with brushes. But....I use a good bunch of them for various things, and keep the others for in case any others bite the dust. I have not bought a makeup brush in about 25 years!
Maybe I should go through them just to see if like that scratchy one I tossed the other day, maybe there are more I wouldn't want to use. We'll see.
Went through old junk mail, (waiting to be looked at) on my desk, and shredded.
Did some more digital declutter...folders in my email...one big one I save all "Paid" confirmations for various things, for at least the year....had ones dating back to 2020 and up. Still a large file and still going through it. Little by little downsizing all the info I've kept ("just in case!")
Been a busy week with other appts and things, so no big purging projects.
Happy weekend everyone~ ☘️

This morning I decided to toss 2 skin care products that I'm not using. Hadn't finished them but they were just sitting there in with all my other skin care products taking up space and I knew I would never use them so out they went.

I'm still puttering around the house and letting go of many things of no use to me anymore. Trucker daughter organized the garage this week, so once again our weekly trash pickup was very close to the allowable limit.

Got new stove, washer and dryer today. They hauled the old ones away.

I tossed a dishrag and a partially used bag of grass seed. It was for a "temporary lawn". I didn't realize that, why would I just want a temporary lawn? I did buy a new bag of regular grass seed to once again, try to fill in some muddy patches in our backyard. There are just some patches I cannot seem to get filled in no matter how many times I try to plant seed. This time of year is really messy. Lots of muddy paw prints in the house.

Hi all,
Well, my other consignment shop is booking out to June! Ugh...they are ALWAYS at least 2-3 months out when you call them. I didn't even make an appt. Will do something else with the items I've gathered.
I have a few home items & a couple tops.
I'm vascilating on a pair of like-new Birkenstocks (I have several others I wear, plus several Spencos, White Mt's, so I don't need these...they were a funky printed pair I've only ever worn a few times & haven't reached for them in years.
Why am I vascilating?...because they have animal print (and flowers, yikes, I know...) on them, and animal print accessories are "in" this year. I'm sure I'd look like "granny thinks she's hip in these" lol, which is why I think they need to go. Not really the "me" I'm going after lately. I tend toward the whimsical, but am always "imagining" becoming more "sophisticated" at this point. There's a chic, Italian European woman screaming to come out, lol. SHE would NOT be wearing these!! Whereas someone younger, who wouldn't likely even want them, WOULD look "hip/funky/bohemian" in them. THAT should have just convinced me. But the whimsical, artsy gal in me is holding on with clenched fingernails! Ha.
Leaning toward donating the homegoods to Goodwill, getting them out, & maybe make an appt for the tops. (at the "fussy consignment", not the June one.)
@gidgetgh I've said this before but I LOVE the sound of your consignment shop...they sound very "on it"...they post on socials right away & your stuff always seems to sell well there. She does FB lives, I believe, also. Great you sold several of your bags right away...good for you.
My one fussy shop does post a lot on IG.
I guess that's it for now.

And in "other news"...just went through a kitchen Misc. drawer, where I often keep some currently using, new gadget or food product, mfr's tag with instructions or info booklets they come with...found several of these where I no longer have the kitchen item or just don't need the info.

@amyb - yes, she sells on Facebook lives and has online also. Her shop name is Back By Popular Demand Consignment. That's also the name of her Facebook page if anyone feels like looking at it. People all over the country send things to her to consign.
And @amyb - I think I used to have those Birkenstocks. Wish I still did. I loved them.

I am getting a pedicure this afternoon and will be stopping at Goodwill to donate some books and some clothes that no longer fit me- too big. I have gone through my closet a few times this season weeding out things I haven't worn, trying them on and deciding that several things are just too big and don't look right. I have bought a few items to replace what I am getting rid of but fewer items are coming than the ones going out.
