Is it at the very bottom of the DW under the panel? If so, I have a rubber piece that actually screws into place. You can try and see if that is the case with this one.

We have a dishwasher but only use it once a month, usually when we have company. Its only the two of us so its just easier to wash them by hand.

That's not long at all. My dishwasher is original to the house. The house was built in 1998, and I am still using it at least three times a week.
I thought about replacing it and changed my mind, it seems as if the new appliances are not made the way the use to be so I will just wait until this one dies and replace.

Hope this is resolved for you soon.
Wow! My Bosch was purchased in 2005 and it is still going strong! I had better give it lots of TLC as it is quite elderly!🤣🤣🤣
My Roper, a brand of Whirlpool is 26 years old. Mine must have one foot in the grave at it's advanced age.

It may not be the dishwasher itself.
Our dishwasher was working fine but water would remain in the bottom. In fact I had to go in and get the water out of the bottom area so it wouldn't fill up and get out onto my floor. (Not each time, but had to keep an eye on it).
The culprit was the garbage disposal! The plumbing runs through it and there was a blockage there.
Had garbage disposal removed, which we didn't use anyway, and that solved our particular problem.

This is similar to what happened to my dishwasher. It was a holiday and I peeled a lot of potatoes and the garbage disposal didn't handle all the peelings well and caused a blockage. The dishwasher was pulled out and the blockage and kink was corrected. Glad to not have to pay for part or repair.
