DH stayed home today. I'm trying to clean house listening to Maroon 5 turned up. DH shut the door in the exercise room. I said well you should have went to work. LOL!!! He hates it. He likes country music. I don't mean today's country either. He likes that what I call wangy twangy stuff that I don't like.    Cat Very Happy

You could listen with cordless Bluetooth headsets. Blast your tunes thru the ear buds or ear pads, depending on what style headset you use,  and DH can do the same with wangy twangy when he needs to. No one suffers and you each get a full dose of your sounds.

Or he can can just go to work like he’s supposed to!  😉

Do you find it absolutely necessary to play music he hates while he is home? Sounds like your doing it just to aggravate him. My DH travelled 3 to 4 days a week but worked at home Mondays and half or all of Friday.I would try to schedule to work those days so he could appreciate the home he worked hard to have. When I was at home with him I'd try to do something quiet so I wasn't disturbing him while he worked.

"Wangy twangy" is TRUE country.  I don't know how to classify these so called

country artist of today (most, not all of them)  Country Rock I would say.

@gizmogal I don't like headphones or ear buds. I would have to find some that would fit in my small ears. I will tell him to put in his Bose ear buds or go outside. It's nice today. He can listen to music from his shed or take his TV outside.

I can't clean with him in my way. He thinks just because he did not go to work I'm not suppose to clean house.

@LTT1 LOL!!! I just can't listen to that stuff.

He came in the living room & told me I should listen to some old lady music. He said I'm not a teenager & should not be listening to Maroon 5. I told him just because I'm getting old does not mean I cannot listen to music I like. He told me to quit dancing around the living room singing. LOL!!! That's what I do when I'm cleaning & he's at work.

@Nightowlz  Is this a serious thread? I find it difficult to accept that your dh has a job, so I am assuming he pays for the house, yet he has to take the TV outside to watch it? Clean tomorrow. My, my, my...........

@151949 I know he does not like it but too bad. I listen to his choice of music plenty of times.

He's invading my space. LOL!!!

He's not home working. He's probably tired of dealing with the guys at work so he stayed home. He's in the exercise room & can watch or listen to what he wants back there.

I'm in the living room so I should be able to watch or listen to what I want.

We are only kidding around anyways. He knows I'm not trying to aggravate him. He knows we each have our own taste in music. We compromise when we are in the car. Not when we are home & there are several places in the house where we can each watch TV or listen to what we want. Our 42nd anniversary is next month so I guess we are doing something right.

@pattypeep Yes this is a serious thread.

Boy don't you guys ever fun around with your significant other?

Yes DH has a job. He always watches TV outside or in his shed if it's nice outside. He likes to be outside. I just bought him another TV for him to use outside. That's what he wanted for Christmas.

I clean house every day. I'm not doing it all in one day. I do some each day & start over on Mon.

I also use to work. We both paid for the house & many other things we own. Our house is paid for.

It's our house not his.
