@RetRN   She is special.  She was a recovery room nurse for 42 years and recently retired.

She has a daughter in her 30s who is a teacher.  She is an absolutely beautiful girl and just as nice as her Mom.

Such a beautiful gesture to gift this quilt.

One of the most cherished possessions I have is my DILs mom was a beautiful quilter.  The first time we were all together to meet she gifted me a King Size quilt all handmade as a "welcome" to our family.

I cherish it because she recently passed after a very short battle with cancer.  sadly, we never got say good-bye but the quilt has always been folded over a chair in my DR.  Everytime I see it I smile thinking of this wonderful lady.
