All I keep seeing in this room is the painted orange wall behind the built in shelf. 😳

The orange is pulling my eyes away from everything else. I didn’t even notice the orange lamp on the right side at first. Seems strange to me to want to draw attention to that shelf. I would want the fireplace and/or windows to be the focal points.

I’m not really loving any of the furnishings or accessories in this room. I did spot the cute dog on the sofa. 🐶🥰

What do you see?

Too much clutter for me.  Don't like anything about this room except the dog!

There is that 'pop of color' thing again that decorators say is necessary.

I don't see anything wrong with the orange wall.  I think a lot of the    other stuff like the gastly green needs to go.

This is sheer awful in my book. The only things I even half-way like are the corner chairs, which are, of course, not used as corner chairs. Perhaps with different shades, the orange lamps might work. It's almost like whoever did this room just wanted so badly to be seen as an iconoclast. The space itself and fireplace are very appealing and, in different hands, a beautiful room might result.

Switch out the lamps and change the paint and it would be a nice room.
