@Oznell   I recall now it was one if your posts that brought me to discover this interesting thread - many thanks.

 

A few comments: I actually prefer the way the front looked before it was updated to the two storey look - maybe some dormer  window added in roof for light keeping the original look. 

 

Loved the the breakfast nook, art on wall and little patio garden.  Not much else appealed- did not like the dining room at all.  Did like some of the paint colours though.  

 

Overall too ‘done’ for me but I did like the look of the house before and would like to have seen inside then.

Oh, yeah, @dulwich ,  I would love to have seen the interiors before the remodel.  I can't figure out how they got light into the second floor before, with so few windows?

 

But reflecting on your post, maybe it wasn't a second floor back then-- maybe there were just very tall ceilings for the first floor.  Perhaps in the remodel they created a second floor, and therefore the need for all the windows then...
