I also like it but not the floor. I never have liked those black/white floors.

Makes for a nice vintage inspired picture, but I wouldn’t want to live with it every day.

There are many things I like about it and some things I don't.  I like the light cabinets and that there are so many of them.  I love the cozy nook feeling of the eating area and the windows.  I don't like the colors and patterns of the cushions, etc.  A different color and pattern combo would make all the difference.

The retro kitchen table is cool for that type of look in your kitchen, I always like white cabinets with black countertops too, as long as there a good amount of natural light in the room.. Simple cabinet hardware also works very well here.

Too many small things around though for me, between the pillows, things on the shelves, and on what little wall space there is showing in the photo.

Not liking that floor, it is a bit big and bold for this space. I think I would of done perhaps a true white in the middle of the room and bordered around the edges of the floor with black. That would also set off the white cabinets nicely.

Oh, and I just noticed the valance  on the one window and that the other is bare - I would just leave them bare. Keeping it more open for a lot of natural light into the room as well as being less busy at that end of the room.

@AuntG- yes, that's it!  When I first looked at the picture I thought "oh my gosh no" and that's what I posted.

After reading your comment I went back to look at the picture again to figure out why I said what I did.  When I look at that picture, all I see are knobs.  Gazillions of knobs.  Knobs for days.   I have to concentrate further and then it's all the cabinets and drawers behind those knobs.

I do like the table though.  It wouldn't work in our house, but it's a cute retro piece.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

My MIl had an old home and her kitchen was much like this one.I just showed DH the picture and he said it kinda brings a tear to my eye.

I think it’s whimsical and fun.  I think I would grow a little tired of it tho.  I prefer my kitchen to be a little “cleaner” without a lot of stuff going on
