Yesterday I was in line behind a woman checking out.  Her total bill was 400.00+ and she had only one coupon.  I couldn't believe it when I used to watch those news shows where they showed how women and men use multiple couponing to reduce their grocery bill.  She could have used one of those coupon mavens.  Obviously it didn't bother her but it bothered me.  She could have slashed that bill in half easily.  Where do you get your best coupon deals?

What bothered me about those coupon TV shows was most of those people were just plain greedy.  They would buy 40 of something without even knowing what the item was.  Then they built shelves to hold all this stuff, most of which will end up wasted.  If they had donated some of it I might have felt more charitably towards them.  I'm glad they are off the air.

I shop at Kroger.  I’m signed up for their store card and go through their digital coupons each week, choosing ones I think I will use.  Also Kroger periodically mails me paper coupons for items I buy regularly.  Sometimes there are free item coupons included.  I regularly seem to save between $15-20 weekly with this form of couponing. I also accumulate points to put toward discounted gas at their station.  I save between 10-20 cents a gallon each time I fill up.  Definitely worth it.
