I have used many commercial products with disappointment. What works for me is a Paste of Dishwashing Liquid, Water, and Baking Soda. I use a brush on the soap scum and it comes right off. No harmful chemicals or fumes.

A couple of years ago someone posted on facebook that to clean a tub/shower to use fume free Easy Off oven cleaner. Spray it all over and let sit for a couple of hours. Just wipe with a sponge. Then use lemon Pledge to keep ""stuff"" from sticking in the future.

I tried it and there is no elbow grease needed!

I've used the Scrubbing Bubbles Foaming for a while now, and while it works well, it's not perfect. I have a porcelain-type tub with tile surrounding it and my problem is with getting the tile clean, really. I can get the tub pretty clean, but the tile never looks great.

Posted a while ago: I wet the fiberglass shower (or tub) floor and sprinkle BarKeeper's Friend powder cleanser and slosh it around. Let sit for 30 minutes. Brush and rinse: should be sparkling clean with little effort. Shared at hair salon and next vist got rave reviews from folks ! HTH

Baking soda for soap scum. White vinegar for hard water buildup.

Plain old vinegar. I use it for everything now and it's really cheap!
