Cleaning Tools, Does Color Really Matter?

DD and I watched a presentation of a 4 piece microfiber dusting set.  They went thru colors.

I get color preference in small appliances especially if they set out on the counter. Dishes, decorative items color choice makes sense.

I don't dust when people are here and otherwise it's in a closet. I don't care about color but whether it works or not.

How important is color to you in items like this?

The color of cleaning items doesn't really matter to me, but I do like having a choice. Like you say, I am not going to be cleaning when I have company.

I know someone with OCD, and I can see her having to have specific colors.

Not that everyone who wants a certain color has OCD at all, she just came to mind.

Not at all.  There is no need to offer a variety of colors in many of the things QVC sells.  For example:  Garden Hose Nozzles.  Does anyone care what color I water my flowers with?  There are many more examples, can't think of any off the top of my head.

Re: Cleaning Tools, Does Color Really Matter?

Once I know I need/want a new cleaning tool. finding it in a color that makes me feel good is a happy accident.  I wouldn't go in search of a particular color, but I like having choices.

Behind the doors and in the drawers of my home, not much matches except what's likely to be used all at the same time.  Dishes and flatwear do match, but I don't much care if storage containers do.

I know I have friends who think differently --  makes me understand why QVC continues to make a big deal about various colors and patterns.

Color choices are are appealing and fun. No big deal but it can invigorate a sale. It doesn't bother me in the least. Viva la difference.

If it wasn't for a multitude of colors how would David fill time? After all, doing colors is a very integral and exceedingly important part of his presentations...can cha tell?

It doesn't matter to me at all, it's just a sales gimmick.

Color isn't  important to me for things like that.  The cleaning lady and I are the only ones who will see them.  However, I do have a color story in my home.  If my colors are available, I would buy by colors.  I'm not going to choose purple tools when red, black or white are available.  I will  take any color if "my" colors are sold out.

I'll choose my favorite of whatever is available, but no it does not matter.

Re: Cleaning Tools, Does Color Really Matter?

It matters to me, as my choices are always red and black.

Not interested in any shade of blue, green, orange, purple or white.
