The days are getting shorter and I feel the need for light. DH will furrow his brow, but heck! I can put it away again. Call me crazy, but I'm enjoying it.

I LOVE it! I was just talking yesterday to a friend saying that I might put up a small tree in our sitting room. This room is tucked in the back of the house so if anyone comes over they won't see it anyway but I will enjoy it. I bought 2 sets of the Lenox ornaments TSV and am dying to display them.
Enjoy yours! P.S. My hubby doesn't usually use the sitting room.....

Life's too short not to enjoy what makes you happen when it makes you happy.
Enjoy your tree and let the brow furrowers scowl ;o)

You're faster than me. Mine's going up in early November. I have occasionally set one up briefly about halfway through the off season though. I'll start listening to my Christmas music from June 25th on, and will sometimes set up a tree for Christmas in July, but I'll only leave it up for a day or two.

OK, I'll "call you crazy" (wink, wink)!!! But I agree....do whatever makes you happy! Enjoy!

Just so we don't hear you moaning in a few months that you're tired of Christmas decor.

I always want to put mine up when I get my first Hallmark Ornaments at the premier. But I settle for leaving them out on the table for a few days and then pack them back up ;o)

Good for you. I'd rather put it up early than keep it up longer after. I'm usually in a hurry to put it away after Christmas because it's just depressing for me to have it all be over.
One question though, what do you do about it collecting dust? How do you dust a decorated Christmas tree? Just wondering.

I say do what you love.
Life is way too short to not be happy, and if this makes you happy, go for it.
I see nothing wrong with marking/celebrating/remembering the season of peace and love at any time, regardless of what the calendar is reading.
I listen to Christmas music online off and on all throughout the year.

I have seen some christmas trees for sale already in some stores. Halloween Candy is also for sale. I know they hope we buy candy now and eat it..then buy more and eat it...etc. before the holiday actually gets here!
