Re: Changing Kitchen Lighting

@NickNack

Get your "sunglasses" out once the electrician puts in your new lighting!  you won't believe how bright it's going to be!

I also had my electrical panel corrected - it was a mess!!!  And GFCI outlets put in bathroom & near sink in my kitchen.  good ole track housing nothing code or right!

You're going to think you moved into a new house once it's painted & done!

Congrats!!!

@homedecor1  I meant to tell him I wanted a GFCI outlet in my kitchen.  I think I'll call them and add that to what I want them to do tomorrow.  Thanks for bringing that up!

Yes, I'll definitely feel like I have a new house once it's painted.

For me it was a good time to "purge" and I am just starting to put things back but nothing going on walls right now!  Have fun & enjoy it.

Re: Changing Kitchen Lighting

@NickNack

I just added a new outdoor outlet near my shed and it had to be a GFI outlet.

I had purchased a new outlet for another location and ended up not needing it.

The one I bought has a light sensor so it comes on when it is dark.

It is perfect because I can tell that the outlet has power. I am a sucker for lighted switches and  plugs, so it was perfect.

The electrician had never heard of this and did not have one like it on his truck. He ended up putting the regular GFI  in a different location.

So, go check out the outlets at HD if you would like to upgrade to a lighted outlet.

@homedecor1  Yes, I am going to do exactly the same thing.  I've already started thinking about it.
