CORDLESS VACUUM RECOMMENDATIONS, PLEASE?

[ Edited ]

Years ago I bought a Bissell power rechargeable sweeper from QVC for approximately $50.  It was fabulous.  Worked well, lasted almost ten years, and finally died.

So, I bought another here on QVC.  Lasted less than 2 years, roughly the same price, and it isn't worth taking to see if it could be repaired.

So, I'm again looking for a cordless, rechargeable sweeper ....  anyone have one that they love?   I have the huge corded Dyson, but using it is a Hollywood Production.  For most jobs, a little cordless sweeper is faster and easier.

TIA for any suggestions and recommendations!   Woman LOL

I'm not going to recommend a cordless sweeper. I've owned a few and as you mentioned they don't last. What I will recommend is a carpet sweeper, a Fuller brand electrostatic carpet sweeper. I've had mine for decades. No batteries needed. All you need to do is replace the brush roll and you're set to go for another several years. Fuller makes a good one and the replacement brush roll is easy to find and not expensive.

You will have it forever. No plastic to go into a landfill.

Re: CORDLESS SWEEPER RECOMMENDATIONS, PLEASE?

So glad you asked, I can't stop raving about my cordless "Bissell Airram Vacuum". It is the best purchase that I have made in a long, long time. I bought it from HSN in January this year. So I haven't had it a long time, so I'll have to see how it lasts in the long run. But it sure does the job beatifully. Love the convenience of the cordless, and it is light weight. Maneuvers well..excellent.

I paid around $187.00 with free shipping. At that time it was cheaper than Amazon.

Good 🍀 luck.

Both my mother and I tried cordless sweepers - and wouldn't recommend them.

That's a vacuum cleaner, not a sweeper. Big difference.

I used to have a Swivel Sweeper from HSN. Could not believe all the stuff it picked up. I thought it worked pretty good for a little battery powered vac.

DH threw mine away. Woman Sad He's always throwing things away he thinks we no longer need. I told him just because he does not need or use it does mean I don't? I have bought several kitchen utensils I could not find he threw out? I told him to STOP.

Amazon has the Swivel Sweeper for about $40. Looks just like what I had.

Good news: My Eureka Quick-Up Cordless is almost 20 years old and still going strong. Bad news: They stopped making it, started again, and then stopped again. But you should at least keep the name in mind just in case.
