That rug pattern, and the hodge podge of furniture and then too much stuff on the shelves makes me dizzy..... Perhaps a change to more traditional furniture, a solid color rug in a neutral color....lose that mirror.....and diversify the items on the shelf by adding some floral arrangements, books, etc. in the shelves.....it would be much improved.  Make the shelves the focal point.....

Don't like the mirror.  And is that a TV on the side???  Otherwise, I like the grouping.

There is too much going on in this room.

It looks like a Sunroom, basement, or addition to me...with very uncomfortable furniture.

No place for the eye to rest.  Too many patterns on floor, wallpaper in next room and different cubbies.   Not comfortable at all.

To me, its a little too much. Even the rug is busy, I think it would look a little better with a solid color rug but thats just my opinion.

I like the idea of the shelves because I have many collectibles and books and would make use of the space.  However, the rest of the room is unsightly and cold looking.  I would empty it and start over with a different look .
