I thought I'd start this thread ahead of this weekend's TSV. I have already posted in another thread with info. So I figure, in case some folks have missed my posts already, here is a thread I devoted to the issue.
There will be no other colors of Bliss lights until they can hone in on the technology to do so where it miraculously would cost less than $1,000,000 to make a single Bliss lights product. I am not kidding folks. That was mentioned during one of the presentations. It has something to do with the light spectrum. So until things change, it will only be red, green and blue...which are the primary colors of the light spectrum.

We were very disappointed last year when they didn't come up with a white light that looked like snowflakes.
Happened on a small ad from Home Depot showing what looked like similar lights in several colors - one clear, which appeared to be white. We ordered five sets of them since our house is very wide across the front. They are wonderful - the lights move like snowflakes and they appear white on the brick. The best part is that they were only $19.95 per set. They may have gone up by now, or perhaps they don't stock them anymore. But if you want white, you might try Home Depot on line. They didn't have them inhouse.

That is not the same type of technology as Bliss Lights. I am just talking about Bliss Lights.
The one you are talking about is a projector. There are many types of projectors/spotlights for lighting out in the market. In most cases those are also using LED lights, not 'laser technology' like Bliss lights.
I did not find the one you speak of from Home Depot...
However, I did find a couple of snowflake-type 'projectors' offered at Amazon (to use as a examples) HERE and .HERE

Thanks for the helpful information, SL. I honestly didn't realize that there is a real scientific reason for the limited colors in lasers. It just isn't something that I've ever read up on, and the few times I've watched the Bliss Lights presented, it wasn't mentioned. Now I can mark them off my want list permanently. (-:
I might be interested in one of the LED type projectors at some point, though, since they can be white in color. I think that in addition to Home Depot, that somebody on the forum also found projectors at Lowes last year. I wasn't fortunate enough to find them for sale anywhere locally, which is where I would prefer to buy something like this in case I need or want to return it.

Thanks for your post SHOPR! I was worried I was in a situation of everyone being upset with me being the 'messenger' of this news.
Yes, it is a scientific issue

I understand that these are not Bliss Lights, but as a substitute - if you want white - they work very well, and look very much like snow coming down on the brick. We are very pleased with them as a substitute. And the price was quite reasonable.

Just thought in case anyone is interested. Bliss lights is the TSV at Midnight on the 18th. They will have the Fire Fly Lights with Motion. .I am anxious to see them. Red, Green or Blue of course. In the description it sounds like they all will have the same pin points of light. I hope this means the red have improved. I have blue and green from last year but have yet to purchase the red based on the reviews. I am very happy with Blue and Green. Received so many compliments on them and a lot of drive byes.
I'm looking forward to seeing the presentations for this new version. The price will be $121.40...or on 6 easy pays of $20.23.

Since they will be offering the bliss lights that simulate fireflies in motion, too bad they don't come in amber instead of the usual red or green. Oh well, maybe in the future.
Hi Azcowgirl, I'm guessing you didn't read my OP fully? I say this because I don't think you will see the amber...at least not in our lifetime
