Not sure if anyone has this recalled blanket but wanted to share just in case. It came through the Consumer Product Safety Commission this morning. It seems there was a TSV recently for these, maybe a different style.berkshire-queen_original.png

Re: Berkshire Blanket Recall

@Carolina925  Thanks for posting! I went to the CPSC website, and there was a link that provided this information:

Berkshire Blanket & Home Company – IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL

Berkshire Blanket & Home Company, in coordination with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has initiated a voluntary recall of a specific batch of its Heated Throws and Blankets. The complete Press Release is available in the link in the banner at the top of this page and throughout the website.

The throws and blankets are L.L. Bean or Berkshire Blanket branded.

The voluntary recall affects products from specific batches only that can be identified by the tracker number that is printed on the wash label affixed to the throws and blankets. To determine if your throw or blanket is affected, please find the wash label and look to the last 5 characters of the tracker number.

  1. Cut the power cord at the plug;
  2. Write identifying information on the wash label;
  3. Take and upload a photo confirming possession and compliance with the steps of this recall.

Upon completion of processing a valid registration, you will be issued a refund in the form of an electronic prepaid Mastercard.

Re: Berkshire Blanket Recall

I just got mine from BB direct, will have to check numbers.  Hopefully they quit shipping bad ones before this decision was made.  I do not have a smart phone to upload photo.  (dead zone)

@PA Mom-mom @Carolina925  - Thanks for posting this info.  I recently ordered a heated Berkshire throw just a few weeks ago.  I hope mine is not included.  I would think the Q would not be selling it.

Re: Berkshire Blanket Recall

@San Antonio Gal , this recall just came up this morning. I expect if QVC has any of those recalled, they'd have removed them already. These are the heated blankets, not the regular ones, which I love and have lots of them. I wouldn't want to go through a winter without them. I'm not a fan of electric blankets for this very reason. If anything could go wrong, it would with me!

@San Antonio Gal @Look at its washing label and compare the last five digits on it against the numbers that was post by PA Mom Mom.

Re: Berkshire Blanket Recall

I have the Bershire King Sized Blanket and I just love it. I checked it over very well and I don't see a number that even vaguely resembles on of the listed numbers... WHEW - I would totally hate to destroy it.

@SchippyLuv @Look at the last five numbers (or letter and four numbers) on the washing instructions label.
