Just switched the channel to watch this. I had a beautiful Belleek vase that the dog knocked over and broke. Unfortunately, I think that particular pattern is discontinued, but maybe I can find one that I like as well. Thanks for posting.

I don't know. ShopHQ has been carrying Waterford for at least 6 years, yet the Q brings Waterford in for every Rose of Tralee and St. Patrick's Day. I guess we'll see in a couple of months if both brands will still be featured on QVC.

Much of the Waterford being sold on ShopHQ is not made in Ireland. That gave me a moments pause and I had to go quickly and check to make sure this Belleek is actually still made in Ireland. It does make a difference, at least to me.

Yea... All the entry level Marquis by Waterford is not, and even some of the mid range pieces aren't either. But the House of Waterford pieces must still be hand crafted in Ireland.

To me, I think it's all beautiful.

Thanks for that info! I'll have to keep that in mind. I agree, Waterford is beautiful.

At least if it's not made in Ireland it is indeed made elsewhere in Europe (Germany and Slovenia). I'm not sure how I'd feel about a beautiful piece of Irish crystal with a "Made In China" sticker on it. {#emotions_dlg.blush}

Aww, you must have been heartbroken over losing your vase. I have cats and dogs and have lost a few special pieces over the years. They do have a few vases. I love the chubby ones, they're harder for the beasties to knock over.

One our sweet dogs broke a favorite Belleek lamp. She cried and kept licking me when I discovered it. The poor thing was so frightened.

I loved the lamp, but I loved my girl more.

HQ seems to have all QVC's home décor products. Years ago they had Waterford, Thomas Kincaid, Polish stoneware(probably another vendor) and now Belleek.

That Belleek lamp on SHQ was a beauty and sold out before it could even be really aired! A few other pieces also sold out too, so good news for Belleek's first show there! I'm enjoying SHQ's Collector's Day, but I miss seeing all these collectibles being presented on the Q. Times change I guess, I know my viewing/shopping habits certainly have! Smiley Wink It's lovely to see Polish Stoneware too, although I miss the pieces vendor Gloria brought to QVC, and our discussions here about it all. As for Waterford, I've bought many of the pieces featured on SHQ over the years and have been really happy with the quality. That said, I do look forward to both Rose of Tralee and St. Patrick's Day on QVC, and really miss the Oktober Fest celebrations that used to air. The out of the ordinary products brought in for these special shows are my main reason for patronizing the shopping channels instead of just going out to regular retail stores.

Unlike in the early days, several brand names overlap on more than one shopping channel. Dyson and HP come to mind as examples. QVC only presents Belleek twice a year (on St. Patrick's Day and the Rose of Tralee special event), therefore any air time they get on ShopHQ wouldn't affect how QVC offers the brand to its clientele. If you follow QVC's Irish merchandise specials once in a while feature a Waterford item or two.

Enjoy the Collector's Day on ShopHQ. I would like to see ShopHQ's management grow their collector inventory, and offer even more of the brands which were instrumental in turning so many of us onto television shopping. I'm sure others can think of more, but some which pop into my mind are: Waterford, Royal Doulton, and Belleek, Black Forest clocks, Capodimonte, Hummels, Department. 56, not to mention the beautiful dolls.

Yup, and I'd say (based on the nick alone!) that dobiesrule agrees as well.

My decorating choices revolve around my cats and dogs! I have found a product called fun-tack is excellent for holding breakables safely to surfaces. It won't hold up to a big hit, but definitely keeps my breakables in place during a kitty rub or easy tail swipe.

I can't access this shopping channel, otherwise I would tune in for the Belleek. I'm hoping that Q will re-instate the pair of Belleek drinking mugs with the shamrocks for St. Patrick's. I had a pair and lost one in the earthquake in August. I also lost the Belleek Lismore Castle bell, but am sure that will never come back.

You can check them out on-line, and they will post videos pretty soon.
